One of the management departments wanted to create a more open, modern workplace within their outdated offices, to boost moral and be more innovative and experiment with flexible open workspaces.

I designed the reception and open workspaces. Unfortunately the project was 'killed' due to budget issues with overall budget.

I wanted to create an 'airy' / natural tinted environment with nice wood materials, woolen fabrics and white surfaces to make it both light, colorful but still serious and healthy.

For a pitch, I was asked to make the concept design for the new headoffice of a global IT player. The office was 24.500 BVO meters and would house 1500 people in a innovative workplace.

I had to focus on the open informal workspace area, the reception area, coffee areas and external space around the building.

From the 4 companies we lost in the last round being second. <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/AutoSave_vergaderruimte 2011-03-19 15172900000_640.png" width="640" height="317" width_o="1368" height_o="678" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/AutoSave_vergaderruimte 2011-03-19 15172900000_o.png" data-mid="9440325" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/hoekwerkomgeving_640.png" width="640" height="243" width_o="1246" height_o="475" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/hoekwerkomgeving_o.png" data-mid="9440326" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/kiosk_bite_640.png" width="640" height="265" width_o="1393" height_o="578" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/kiosk_bite_o.png" data-mid="9440327" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/overviewvergaderruimte_640.png" width="640" height="265" width_o="1393" height_o="578" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/overviewvergaderruimte_o.png" data-mid="9440328" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/plein_naar_trein_640.png" width="640" height="232" width_o="1490" height_o="541" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/plein_naar_trein_o.png" data-mid="9440330" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/servnmeet_640.png" width="640" height="325" width_o="1202" height_o="611" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/servnmeet_o.png" data-mid="9440332" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/servnmeetfac_640.png" width="640" height="330" width_o="1244" height_o="643" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/servnmeetfac_o.png" data-mid="9440334" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/veraderruimte1_640.png" width="640" height="277" width_o="1367" height_o="592" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/veraderruimte1_o.png" data-mid="9440338" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/viewsnelweg_640.png" width="640" height="232" width_o="1200" height_o="436" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/22357/1906591/viewsnelweg_o.png" data-mid="9440340" border="0" align="left"/>

thenextview asked innvire to help create a new interior design for the new office in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Luckily the customer provided us with the freedom to create an office that would not resemble too much of a IT oriented office. With most IT firms having only blue in their logo, they often wind up with black & blue interiors that are 'cold' and non personal.

We created a more feminine and creative atmosphere with olive tree patterned tables, raspberry red & aubergine office chairs and wool upholstered brown Basecamp seats. As any office of innvire, there is a lot of flexibility and openness to create days with different interiors as activities are diverse within the company. Products used:

- 2011 dquartier Basecamp (innvire product)
- Sketchalots (Abstracta) Design by innvire)
- Artifort Little Tulips chairs and barstools
- Brainstorm rollable whiteboards from Abstracta
- Airflakes from Abstracta
- Bloom lighted flowerpots
- Ahrend Office chairs re-upholstered by innvire

When Ecophon wanted to introduce a new production process with new posiblities for free hung acoustic ceilings, they wanted to inspire architects by showing the possibilities of the new product.

Ecophon asked Eelco Voogd to work with the new technique and design two concepts that would show the possiblities and creativity possible with the free solo.

Eelco presented from his two concepts the 'route solo'. A acoustic ceiling solution, modular and meaningful, as it helps people direct themselves through buildings by using the ceilings shapes and routes to orientate. Often open plan offices are cluttered by desks, cabinets, plants and lack of navigation signs, the Route Solo idea uses the often neglected ceiling to provide function and direction to people in an aesthetic way.

The architects were positively surprised by Eelco's flight into his own history and experience of how design evolved for him, providing a different look to functionality and shapes as most architects did.

Basecamp 2011 collection

The in may 2011 introduced Basecamp collection is expanded with two new elements. The Cornerstone completes the Sofa line with great comfort to snug into the corner and enough a more relaxed seat and great acoustics. Secondly the new element, Basestation, is a great addition to extend the functionality of the Basecamp series. With the possibilities to add light, power outlets and other add-ons, it completes the functional but informal workplace.

Pouvlovs, designed to shift behavior.

When we started out with the innvirement design, I knew quite quickly that the Pouvlov needed something better than currently offered in pouf designs.

My basic requirements where that it had to be lightweight, so no wooden core, supportive to sit on, also with 200 pounds, and off the highest quality, because these poufs tend to deserve a long life with the versatile use.

The signature rounded corners for all of innvire collections of the moment was first shown in the Pouvlovs.
They have become a great success because people really love the woolen feel to it, the nice colours, the high quality stitching and the ergonomic seating height of 480mm.

They come in 3 shapes, 480mm square, (XL) 800x480mm and (WXL) 800mm x 800mm.. all with their different use: The xl is often used for sitting and writing/using laptop, the WXL is often used to socialize with two people or as a table..

The Pouvlov Tord, with the Heaven Scent 108 from Kvadrat and print from Tord Boontje shows the beauty of the simplicity with added great design patterns.

For our design agency, innberg, we wanted to have an original christmas present that would be warm, creative and reflecting our philosophy on visualization ideas.

Eelco designed a woolen felt sleeve for pocket size moleskine cahiers. Together with the innberg label and an elastic band for a marker, pencil or pen.

We ended up selling them to individuals all through Europe and abroad and some of our customers demanded their own 'innskine' versions. Small product, great appreciation.

Some things are accidentally perfect. In a short trip Eelco Voogd came along the Kranzbach hotel when it just opened. With almost no guests yet, he was inspired by the nice interior design which came from Ilse Crawford.

Having the photographic equipment with him, he did a shoot of the interior which ended up on the web and that is how Studio Ilse contacted Eelco Voogd to be able to use the shoot in Frame Magazine in November 2008.

Concept for charity

If one thing illustrates the way of working of Eelco Voogd, it is orchestrating teams around his ideas. Starting out with an idea to work with Porsche once, Eelco created a concept for charity where all parties involved would gain.

His idea to design a graphic appearance that appeals to the era and draws the attention to the ability to sponsor a stripe on the special Porsche Cayman was a great success. Thanks to creative graphic interpretation by André Brocatus and the tremendous support of the Dutch Porsche importer, PPI, the project generated €80.000,- for the good cause of 'Make a Wish' foundation in the Netherlands.

Eelco conceptualized the idea, made sketches of the idea and gathered all parties to 'zero cost' involve themselves to contribute to the idea. Photographers, carwrappers, webhosters and designers all committed their time and materials to make it possible to have this car run one year for charity.

It made the national paper 'Metro' with full color image.
